Everyone has their preference in what size dog they choose. Many like a big dog for the means of protection, or to cuddle up with on the couch! Remember that many of these larger, strong breeds need a stronger handler. Because of their size they can easily take on the “boss of the house” mentality. You need to make sure you have the room to house one of these gentle giants. Keep in mind the fact that many times they need more exercise then a little dog and they certainly eat a more so in turn they can be more expensive. Many times because of the size of the dog they can have more health issues such as hip problems and in many instances don’t live as long as a small dog. There are hundreds of Dog Breeds not to mention the Hybrid Dogs so be sure to do your homework so that you can match yourself with the perfect dog for your household.
